Student Activity

At the end of the video Ms Messinger (Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning) is asking our new students to share an experience or challenge that they overcame over these last few months. For example, when they helped a neighbour, or contributed to the household. It may be helpful to talk about our values of kindness, courage and hope when considering what story to tell. We ask students to do only what they feel comfortable with and present this in a way that they choose, e.g. in a story, cartoon strip, artwork, piece of music, video or poem. This is not a test, nor should it cause anxiety; we wish to provide an opportunity for expression and establish the special link between your child and their tutor. Please email your child’s contribution to emessinger@bristolcathedral.org.uk and their House Leader with YEAR 7 2020 in the subject line, if possible, before 7th July. We will look forward to celebrating the achievements we collect.

Reading

We know that students who read for pleasure enjoy success at school. We ask you, together with your child, to complete this short questionnaire so that we may plan how to best support and inspire your child. For example, we have enthusiastic staff who are happy to get on their bikes to help deliver books to you over the holiday - please let us know via this survey should you feel this would be of use.
